The unmarked squad cars are an inconspicuous shade of metallic blue, a hue that might escape your attention if you're not looking for them.
"That's the idea," said Dane County sheriff's Deputy Steve Mueller.
Mueller is one of three deputies who have taken to the county's roads as part of the Dane County Traffic Team, whose sole assignment is to catch speeders, drunken drivers and other traffic scofflaws before they hurt or kill anyone.
