General information Amoi Electronics Co., Ltd was incorporated in May of 1997 based on assets from Xiamen Solid Electronics Limited, which was founded in August of 1981 as the first Sino-foreign joint venture in the city of Xiamen, Fujian Province. On May 13, 1997, the company issued 36 mln A shares via an initial public offering at the price of RMB 4.43 (USD 0.54 mln) per share, and was listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange on June 4, 1997.
