CELTIC have banked an extra [pounds sterling]2.1million in Champions League revenue from last season - because Rangers lost to CSKA Moscow.
The Ibrox club's failure in the qualifying round last August ensured the full Scottish slice of UEFA's market pool from television coverage was handed to the Parkhead club. Celtic landed [pounds sterling]4.2m instead of the [pounds sterling]2.1m they would have received if both Old Firm teams had reached the group stages.
The windfall means that Celtic's total Champions League income from last season tops [pounds sterling]10m when gate receipts are taken into account for the matches ...
