From the top of the Peninsula to Homer at its tip, some of the $4.25 million in legacy projects of the upcoming Kenai Peninsula 2006 Arctic Winter Games can already be seen.

The new indoor ice rink on the Homer Spit is just one of many legacy projects of the 2006 Arctic Winter Games. Through federal grants, the games were able to provide $400,000 toward the construction of the new rink. Another $400,000 for access improvements for the ice rink was furnished through a transportation grant to the games.
