In a move that could have industrywide repercussions, Region 3 has notified the Association of Pool & Spa Professionals that it will "disassociate" from the national organization.
Region 3 officials issued a statement to the press on May 3, quoted here in its entirety. "What began as a search for an affiliation agreement has ended with notification by Region 3 to APSP that the Region will 'disassociate' from APSP. Through their attorney, the Region 3 Board of Directors indicated that the Region no longer desired an association with APSP in a letter dated April 26, 2005.
The effective date of the disassociation is June 30, 2005."
