Viacom fails to win control of mtv.com.cn and mtv.cn domain names
Shanghai. June 17. INTERFAX-CHINA - Viacom International, Inc., one of the world's largest entertainment media groups, has failed to gain control of the "mtv.com.cn" and "mtv.cn" domain names from Beijing Guowang Information Co., Ltd. (ComTV) through arbitration conducted under the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC).
In addition to the mtv.com.cn and mtv.cn domain names, Guowang Information had also previously registered the "nick.com.cn" and "nick.cn" domain names. Viacom is the parent company of the music TV channel MTV and the children's channel ...
