China CBM begins development of Shouyang Coal Region in Shanxi
Shanghai. June 17. INTERFAX-CHINA - The China United Coal Bed Methane Corporation (China CBM), the only company authorized to cooperate with foreign partners in the commercial development of coalbed methane (CBM) in China, has begun developing the CBM reserves in the Shouyang Coal Region in Shanxi Province in cooperation with the Far East Energy Corporation and ConocoPhillips, two US corporations.
"Initial exploitation will be completed by the end of 2006. By then the detailed production capacity will be revealed," Director Zhang with the International Cooperation Department of China CBM told ...
