To the Editor:
Do not let New York state's 22-year-old Bottle Bill get trashed! It has done great service in keeping our streets and roads clear of soda and beer cans and bottles.
Now it needs an update/expansion. The original only included "fizzy" drinks (beer, soda). Current tastes include water, teas, juice drinks, sport drinks and all the "non-fizzy" cans and bottles that are ubiquitous today. These non-carbonated drinks need to be included in the Bottle Bill.
