Aaron Bulkley was certain he made the correct decision four years ago.
He knew that he wasn't ready for professional baseball even though the Pittsburgh Pirates picked him in the 10th round in 2001, shortly after he was named the Class C Player of the Year in New York. The Port Byron native knew that his option was to head to LeMoyne College and do some growing up.
But even still, throughout his four years with the Dolphins and a number of injuries, Bulkley sometimes wondered if the gamble would eventually pay off and another team would draft him when he was ready.
