CONTAINERS are great for making splashes of colour on your patio and around seating areas. But when you don't have time to look after all the usual bedding plants, what about growing bog plants instead?
They're practical for people who can't always be out watering - you just leave the pots standing in deep dishes of water and give them a top-up every few days.
They don't have the same showy flowers as bedding, but the foliage makes an impact and it's dead sophisticated - plus there's no replanting every spring and tipping out every autumn. Bog plants last for years.
