As recently as 1997, there wasn't a single South Korean player on the LPGA Tour.
Now there are 28.
What changed?
Three little words: Se Ri Pak.
"All questions about the Korean influx have to begin with Se Ri Pak," LPGA commissioner Ty Votaw said.
When Pak won two majors as a rookie in 1998, first the LPGA Championship and then the U.S. Women's Open in a 20-hole playoff, South Korean citizens who didn't know a birdie from a bogey celebrated.
