SAN FRANCISCO -- Shanghai Media Entertainment Group First to Bring Dolby Digital 5.1 to Viewers in China with Its DTV Service
Dolby Laboratories (NYSE:DLB) announced today that the Shanghai Media Entertainment Group (SMEG) selected Dolby(R) Digital for the first channel in China's television broadcasting history to offer 5.1 programming. This milestone marks a significant advancement in the quality of sound delivered by the Chinese television industry.
