I talked in my last article about the increased community awareness of Insomnia. It is advertised, talked about and debated in almost every venue in America. Interestingly, many of us working in sleep medicine have very little to do with the treatment of Insomnia. I am sure you all have experienced either the elusive night sleep or have that loved family member that complains, "you are the sleep expert and yet you can't help me sleep!" My 98-year-old grandfather, my mother and my aunt have all accused me of helping thousands of others sleep but not helping them with their insomnia. The guilt prompted me to do the research. These are the treatment options I have found.
