Renowned Cincinnati Chef Damian Reolon, Executive Chef at the Netherland Plaza, died Friday at the hotel's restaurant.
"This is a very sad day for the Netherland Plaza," said Michel Sheer, the hotel's general manager. "He was wonderful to work with. He was a powerful influence from a human standpoint and a remarkably talented culinarian."
Reolon, 58, would have celebrated his 20-year anniversary with the Netherland Plaza in December.
Sheer said he spent part of the day calling Reolon's colleagues and soon was fielding calls from grief-stricken admirers from across the country.
