In 1994, Argyle established the Indo Argyle Diamond Council ("IADC") to promote the acceptance of Indian-made jewelry in the US market. Since then, especially in the last few years, there has been an important paradigm shift in sourcing diamond jewellery from India. Jewelry retailers worldwide are beginning to realize the potential India offers as a sourcing base for diamond jewellery. Large production facilities run by professionals and managed by families are characteristic of the region. The combination of working intellect and personalized presence gives these export businesses an edge.
