The Florida Chapter of the Boys' Towns of Italy, the oldest American charity in service abroad, has named Nick Di Tempora, president of MAPEI Americas, as their "2005 Man of the Year." Di Tempora's personal interest in the welfare of children prompted the honor. Di Tempora commented, "I was born in Campobasso, Italy, in 1939, and I faced many of the same difficulties as the children who became the first inhabitants of the Boys' Towns of Italy. Happily for me, my parents immigrated to Canada in 1951, and I was able to take advantage of the great opportunities offered to me in the Americas.
