Jun. 21--TAVARES -- The family of a 21-year-old Mascotte man who died while operating machinery at a Tavares truss plant has filed a lawsuit against the manufacturer.
Carlos Reyes died June 19, 2003, after getting pinned between a press machine and truss-plate tables while working at Casmin Inc. on County Road 561, according to the lawsuit filed June 14 in Lake County Circuit Court.
He was earning money to send to his family in Mexico, said the family's lawyer, Todd E. Copeland of Orlando.
