Alfred Girard, 68, of Amherst, NH, died April 14, 2005, at Southern Regional Medical Center, Nashua, NH, after a brief illness. Born in Quincy, MA, he was the son of Alfred N. and Marguerite (DiBona) Girard. He served in the US Army from 1958 to 1961. A professor at Southern New Hampshire University, Girard taught classes on operating systems, classical and object-oriented system analysis and design, data structures and algorithms, and Visual Basic and Java programming languages. He was responsible for much of the research supporting the IT Department Curriculum Advance Project and was chair of the IT Curriculum Task Force. Professor Girard held a B.S. in Electrical ...
