Alfred Girard, 68, of Amherst, NH, died April 14, 2005, at Southern Regional Medical Center, Nashua, NH, after a brief illness. Born in Quincy, MA, he was the son of Alfred N. and Marguerite (DiBona) Girard. He served in the US Army from 1958 to 1961. A professor at Southern New Hampshire University, Girard taught classes on operating systems, classical and object-oriented system analysis and design, data structures and algorithms, and Visual Basic and Java programming languages.
