WASHINGTON _ An Air Force task force investigating charges of religious bias by dominant evangelical conservative Christians at the long troubled Air Force Academy acknowledged Wednesday it found "perceptions" of religious discrimination against minorities at the college as well as cases of "inappropriate" religious expression.
Its carefully worded 100-page report, however, contended there was no evidence of widespread religious discrimination at the academy in Colorado Springs, Colo., and attributed what problems there was largely to cadet immaturity and a failure to make clear what is acceptable behavior.
