Jun. 23--Monsanto Co. will spend $21 million to build a 40,000-square-foot data center on the west side of its campus in Creve Coeur, the biotechnology company said Wednesday.

The center will provide Monsanto scientists and sales representatives with the computing speed and power they need to make new discoveries as well as to deliver goods to customers, the company said.
