If you make a list of 40 things to do before you die, it should include visiting a desert. But if you are making a list of 10 things you must do before you die, it should include experiencing the Dead Sea.
The lowest point on Earth, it is also nothing like anywhere else on the planet.
Indeed, with the heat, the barren landscape around it, and the utterly alien waters that are found in it, you could be mistaken for thinking that you had been transported to another world.
