Developer opts for high-bond-strength system
Seven World Trade Center was the last building erected in the original World Trade Center complex, and was the last to collapse on September 11, 2001, after burning for seven hours. Today, it is the first to be rebuilt.
The new 7 WTC heralds the spirit of redevelopment and renewal in Lower Manhattan and marks the gateway to the new World Trade Center. Rising 52 stories and encompassing 1.7 million square feet, 7 WTC represents a milestone in skyscraper construction. Already well under construction, the tower is scheduled to be complete in late 2005.
