TWO parallel cases will be argued next month in federal courts that will have far-reaching implications on how cattle and beef business is conducted between the U.S. and Canada.

On July 13, in Seattle, Wash., a panel of three judges from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit will hear the U.S. Department of Agriculture's appeal of R-CALF's temporary injunction that is keeping the U.S. border closed to young beef animals from Canada.
