Jun. 23--Three years after 20 local investors pooled their money to open Elm Street Books, an independent bookstore in New Canaan, the group has partnered with veteran bookseller Roxanne Coady.
Coady, the founder and owner of R.J. Julia Booksellers in Madison, is arguably one of the most successful independent bookstore owners in the country. Her shop, the largest independent bookstore in the state, has garnered national recognition that includes Publisher's Weekly Bookseller of the Year Award.
