CLEVELAND - John Olerud made the most of his sixth start at first base, going 3-for-4 and delivering two of the biggest hits in the Red Sox' 5-4 victory over the Cleveland Indians at Jacobs Field last night.
The veteran left-handed hitter tied the score at 2 in the seventh inning by blasting his first Sox homer (and the 249th of his career) off Indians lefty Cliff Lee. After the Sox fell behind, 4-2, he kept the game-tying rally alive with a RBI single off southpaw Arthur Rhodes that cut the deficit to 4-3.
