Jun. 24--A developer of the St. Johns Town Center is branching out with St. Johns Town Center North, marking the first retail offshoot of the regional open-air shopping plaza in Southside.
Ben Carter Properties LLC of Atlanta wants to develop the 99,350-square-foot plaza with Publix Super Market as an anchor tenant on about 14.2 acres at Town Center Parkway and Brightman Boulevard to the north of the center.
St. Johns Town Center is at northwest Butler Boulevard and St. Johns Bluff Road/Florida 9A. Carter developed the center with Simon Property Group, which also is an owner in the Avenues and Orange Park malls.
