The Pall Corporation of East Hills, NY, has developed a new automated clarification system that aims to streamline beer filtration without affecting taste. The company says its PROFI system combines centrifuge and membrane technologies to create a seamless 24/7 filtration process, tailored for high-volume beer producers. The company notes that the system also eliminates the use of diatomaceous earth (DE) from beer production, removing the filtration and maintenance activities associated with diatomaceous earth systems.
