Cincinnati artist Jay Bolotin consolidates many of his diverse talents -- woodcut printing, painting, writing, composing, stage and set designing into what may be his artistic piece de resistance -- "The Jackleg Testament."
This arcane but wildly imaginative motion picture, which is being presented at the Contemporary Arts Center through Aug. 21, brings his woodcuts to life.
The production, which Bolotin more precisely calls a "woodcut motion picture," is a fantastical variation on the Adam and Eve story -- with a twist.
