While we're on the subject of pricing, we'd like to add a few words about software piracy. We're delighted, naturally, by the Software Publishers Association's holy war against the professional bad guys--the big companies that deliberately rip off someone else's intellectual property. And it's reassuring that the SPA campaign seems to be scaring larger corporations into keeping better track of amateur copying among their employees.
Still, we think the anti-piracy zealots sometimes miss an important point. For most small offices and workgroups, single-user licenses are like the 55-mile speed limit: nice in theory, but ...
