. TESCO unveiled its latest assault on rival retailers today with a move into the contact lenses market. Customers will be able to order online and at 200 in-store pharmacies and 21 opticians.
Tesco's price for a month's supply of 1 Day Acuvue lenses will be [pounds sterling]32, compared with [pounds sterling]45 at Boots. On Purevision lenses, its price for three months' supply is [pounds sterling]28, less than half the [pounds sterling]64.50 charged at Boots.
