Rep. Peter DeFazio, D-Springfield, was "very rude" to not offer his cab to a young woman late at night in Washington, D.C., recently, the woman, a GOP congressional intern, told a gossip column in Roll Call, a newspaper that covers Congress.
The aide to Rep. Steve Buyer, R-Ind., told Roll Call she went out looking for a cab on Saturday night. The aide, who asked not to be named, lives on Capitol Hill. She said she walked to the corner of New Jersey and Independence avenues Southwest to hail a cab to take her to Georgetown.
