Hydrogenics (5985 McLaughlin Road, Mississauga, Ontario, Canada L5R 1B8: Tel: 905/361-3660; www.hydrogenics.com) and Hitachi Zosen (7-89, Nanko 1-chome, Suninoe-ku, Osaka 559-8559, Japan; Tel: 81- 6-6569-0001, www.hitachizosen.co.jp) have formalized a relationship to build commercial-sized fuel cell systems. The agreement covers the development of FC-based generating systems for business use and to develop and market residential systems. The contract is to be reviewed every two years.
The target markets for the FC systems are buildings, hospitals and convenience stores, as well as emergency power sources. Device specifications include 10 kW to several hundred kW, ...
