Jun. 27--Offering a product that promises to temporarily cool anyone who consumes it is a seemingly smart business strategy in a hot desert locale such as Southern Nevada.
But this community's latest chilled dessert made its way here after gaining a following in the much cooler climes of northern Utah.
Credit Deven Crabb for making such an obvious connection.
"For a lot of people, it's a tradition -- you go to Utah, and you stop and have a frozen custard at Nielsen's," Crabb said "I thought about it and said, 'Why not? There should be one here.'
"Everyone's happy to go into a (dessert) store."
