During a press conference in Stuttgart, Germany, XSYS Print Solutions was announced as the new name for the merged ANI Printing Inks and BASF Printing Systems. XSYS Print Solutions is now the largest European supplier of system solutions for the printing and packaging industry, with sales of 880 million [euro], or more than $1 billion, in 2004.
In choosing the new name, "X" stands for the company's extensive product range, "X" new developments, "X" possibilities for customers and "X" chances for employees. "SYS" means systems.
