Fifteen years after he started renting studio apartments during what some have dubbed the darkest days of real estate in Manhattan, it's not without some pride that Andrew Heiberger sits today in his Fifth Avenue office, ready to embark on the next chapter of his life.
His 41st floor suite at the headquarters of his newly-formed Buttonwood Real Estate LLC looks directly onto the offices of NRT, the real estate conglomerate Heiberger sold his hugely successful Citi Habitats agency to last summer for a reported $46 million.
