A BIRDS charity is supporting moves to halt a National Assembly plan to subsidise air travel in Wales.
If the proposal goes ahead, it could lead to more air travel said the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) Cymru.
Charity chiefs claim this will mean more greenhouse gas emissions, adding to climate change affecting wildlife and people, A Commons debate is focused on the Transport (Wales) Bill, which includes a clause empowering the Welsh Assembly to subsidise air transport facilities and services within Wales and into and out of Wales.
