DETROIT _ Catchers A.J. Pierzynski and Chris Widger deserve ample credit for the success of the White Sox's pitching staff, but not at the expense of departed Miguel Olivo, manager Ozzie Guillen said.
"A lot of people say I was talking bad about Olivo," Guillen said of the Sox's former catching prospect who was dealt to Seattle last year in the Freddy Garcia trade. "I never said anything bad about Olivo. I said this kid has the potential to be one of the best catchers in the league. But it's not there yet. Can he do it? Yes."
