Brown & Brown Inc. of Daytona Beach, Fla., is buying BeneTec Inc. of Rogers for an undisclosed amount.
BeneTec will continue to operate its Rogers location as a subsidiary of Brown & Brown. The company was founded in 1998 in Rogers by Cindy and Bob Borden.
Publicly traded Brown & Brown offers insurance services such as reinsurance, risk management, third-party administration and managed health care programs. It was ranked by Business Insurance magazine as the eighth-largest independent insurance intermediary nationwide.
BeneTec's annual revenue reached nearly $1 million in 2004, said Cindy Borden.
