Jun. 29--THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Activists of the Left parties in Kerala picketed and demonstrated before central government offices on Tuesday as part of their nation-wide protest against hike in petrol and diesel prices.
The workers took to arterial roads in all towns and disrupted traffic for a while. However the state was mercifully exempted from the "rasta roko" stir as it had witnessed a motor bandh last week for the same issue.
The CPM state secretary Pinarai Vijayan said while inaugurating the stir that the Left parties would show no mercy on the Congress government if it followed anti-people actions like the petroleum hike. He said many ...
