Ahmedabad, Jul 2 (PTI) The Commission of Enquiry into the 2002 Gujarat riots assked Saturday the President's office to repond to its request to hand over communication between the then President K R Narayan and Prime Minister A B Vajpayee on the communal flare up, over-riding the refusal by the President's office.
The Nanavati-Shah Commission told the Rashtrapati Bhavan to reply on July 25 in this regard or send an advocate or representative to handle the matter.
The Rashtrapati Bhavan had last month refused to hand over the controversial letters between the two on steps to be taken post-riots on the gounds of privilege under Article 74 (2) of the ...
