Ever used the expression, "The meter's running"? This charming cliche implies that every minute that passes costs us more money. And, like most cliches, it's based in part on truth--which is certainly the case for water flow meters.
Numerous constituencies rely on flow meters running for planning, capacity, delivery, billing and water use. It's good information, but only as reliable as the meter itself.
