Westchester Medical Center says its financial woes will not stop it from joining the trend toward offering its inpatients more privacy during their stays at the Valhalla regional hospital.
The medical center is exploring building new private rooms for some of its 1,000 beds. The study will help medical center administrators decide how many beds can be made private, as well as which departments can be converted and how quickly, said Danny Loughran, a medical center spokesman.
