Jul. 7--IACOCCA'S BACK, AND CHRYSLER IS BETTING PEOPLE WILL LISTEN: He's ba-ack.
But will anybody care? Even worse, for a man who once commanded the national spotlight, will anybody notice?
I'm betting yes.
Lee Iacocca, 80 years old and perhaps the greatest salesman the auto industry has ever known, returns to TV screens today, pitching Chrysler's employee-pricing sales incentive.
It's a sweet deal, knocking as much as $10,000 off the sticker price of Chrysler Group vehicles, but is Iacocca the man to pitch it?
