This very expensive book covers multiple linear regression (MLR) with somewhat more emphasis on the theory of linear models than standard texts. Chapter 1 gives a very brief introduction to regression analysis and the history of least squares, whereas Chapter 2 reviews results from a first course in probability and statistics, including joint densities, expectation, the method of moments, maximum likelihood estimation, consistency, confidence intervals, and hypothesis testing.
