This book had an earlier life (Jensen et al. 1997) with another publisher. I wrote a review (Ziegel 1999) that was not particularly complimentary. The book was a strange mix of geology and statistics. I did not like the statistical presentation, and it certainly assumed that the reader already knew petroleum geology. Now, with a new publisher, the book, very attractively (if not inexpensively) presented, had escaped notice until BP decided to move me from the ...
