British Nuclear Fuels said July 1 it planned to sell off a U.S.-based subsidiary in an effort to raise around 1 billion pounds (euro 1.5 billion) for British taxpayers. Chief executive Mike Parker said the company already had received several expressions of interest in the sale of Pittsburgh-based nuclear power station construction business Westinghouse Electric Co.
