The "Resource Guide For Use With Hispanic Nephrology Patients is the result of work on ANNA's 2004-2006 Strategic Action Plan, which included as one of its actions the development of a resource guide for materials for use with Hispanic patients, a growing population in nephrology. The USRDS 2004 Annual Report identifies 85,186 Hispanic patients (12.1% of the total) and there is a need for materials for nurses to use to communicate with and teach those clients.
