Shanghai. July 8. INTERFAX-CHINA - General information China Yangtze Power Co., Ltd. (the "Company"), China's largest publicly listed hydropower generation enterprise, was incorporated in September 2002 by the China Three Gorges Project Corporation (CTGPC), in cooperation with five other parties, and serves as a subsidiary to raise funds for the development of the Three Gorges Project.
On November 5, 2003, the Company issued 2.326 bln A-shares to the public at RMB 4.3 (USD 0.52) per share, and went public on the Shanghai Stock Exchange on November 18, 2003.
