Jul. 8--DELTONA -- A new group that will officially unveil itself today plans to promote Puerto Rican culture, music and arts.
Known as the Center for Puerto Rican Culture in Deltona, the group is a creation of two existing organizations: the Volusia County Hispanic Association and the Puerto Rico Cultural Center of Florida.
"I'd like to show the root of our culture," said Nelida Rivera, president of the Center for Puerto Rican Culture in Deltona.
