New York City apartment house. A woman with a tenuous grip on reality has hallucinatory visions that seem to be very real. Something is very, very wrong. Evil lives in this building. And not your garden-variety New York City brand of evil, either, but something far more sinister.
``Rosemary's Baby''? Close. It's ``Dark Water,'' the psychological thriller that remakes the 2002 Japanese horror movie of the same name, which, in itself, was kind of a riff on ``Rosemary's Baby,'' the 1968 Roman Polanski movie about a woman convinced she's been impregnated by Satan.
